Our Story

Nate Lindquist and Eric Burnside founded Burli, LLC in April 2020 when it became clear that people in the Portland community needed an alternative resource for high quality home gym equipment. 

With years of experience manufacturing custom steel components for the aerospace and defense industries, we had the talent, machinery and expertise to make a dramatic pivot into home and garage gym equipment. 

We saw it as an opportunity to make a direct and immediate impact on people's lives at a time when they needed it the most.

We worked quickly to create a local supply chain for all our raw materials including steel, nuts and bolts and other items. We wanted everything to be sourced within 100 miles of our manufacturing facility in Milwaukie, OR. With a supply chain dialed in, we then rehired several local talented craftsmen to help us with machining, welding, powder coating, assembly and fulfillment. 

It took all but 7 days to transform ourselves into Burli -- the only company in Portland that manufactures high quality, heavy duty gym equipment.

This is only the beginning of our story. We have a vision to do so much more and we hope you join us to be a part of it.
